Play at Home and at Nursery

Watching Ryan learning and playing is a lot of fun. Anytime he does something he's proud of he gets a big grin on his face and he claps his hands! It's been really neat to watch Ryan develop while playing with the ring toy you can see in these photos.

When he first got this toy last October he would pull the rings off and then pick up one in each hand and bang them together.

Later on the game developed into Ryan pulling the rings off and abandoning them. Mommy would then put them back on and Ryan would drop everything and zoom over to pull them off again.

In the last month Ryan has figured out how to put the rings back on again! He will occasionally get frustrated if it takes more than a try or two to get them on but he's getting really good at putting them on. In these photos Ryan has put all the rings back on himself - clever boy!



I've been back to work two days a week since mid-August and last term Ryan would go to a friends house the days I worked. This term our friend is headed back to work as well so we've got Ryan in a nursery just a 10 minute walk from home. He's been settling in really well. Here are a couple of photos of him playing there.

When we bought Ryan his Christmas present we had no idea that it would be just as fun, if not more, to play with it when not in the bath!
Anytime he can get into the bathroom Ryan bee-lines it to the tub and throws all the toys off the hanging rack and into the tub - silly boy!!
