This was a great year for snow that's for sure! For those of you in Scotland you may have seen some photos of Toronto on the news due to this years record breaking snowfalls. The weather reports reminded us of Scotland - never quite right! A couple of times when they predicted massive snowstorms we didn't get all that much and then when they didn't make such a fuss the storm would be terrible with accidents everywhere! This is Ryan standing in front of the snowbank in front of our place. It's so great that our neighbors/friends (ie. owners of the big house - we rent above the garage) have a snow plow to plow the driveway or it would have taken days to shovel us out of here!
Here are Ryan and I standing in the snow outside our house - it's up to my knees!! Ryan, being much lighter wasn't sinking down as far.
After one of the big dumps of the year - just a few weeks ago - we drove out to Chris' mom's to help shovel her out of the driveway. These pics are of Ryan 'helping' Daddy to shovel. We had all of Ryan's winter gear - hats, mitts, snow pants etc. ready to go and then forgot to bring his jacket of all things! That's why he's in this oversized behemoth - we made one of Grandmere's coats work!
Just to be clear - we did have mittens for Ryan. The reason he isn't wearing any is because he didn't want to - he couldn't hold the shovel with them on!I just got the Easter and more snow photos off the camera and onto the computer today. Over the next few days I'll organize them and hopefully have a new post to share by the end of the week.
