This is Ryan with his 'baby' - a hard plastic doll Oma had given him (came with a handmade basinette which turns into a bag). If you ask Ryan to give the baby a cuddle then he'll hold it up to his shoulder and say "awww" it's very cute.
The other day Ryan accidentally took the baby's head off - he looked very startled and wasn't very happy about it. So I've found a new doll that fits in the bag and whose head won't come off!!
Here's Ryan with his real baby friend Kathryn. He's very cute with her and will give her a kiss. He's usually gentle but a couple of times has tried to swat her and once tried to 'beep' her nose which she didn't like!
Just previous to these pics being taken Ryan was standing in front of the couch smelling Kathryn's feet! This is part of a game we taught him - a game that keeps him on his back and more settled while changing his nappy - we smell his feet and then wave our hands in front of our noses, say stinky and pull a funny face - he loves it!! This day he did it to Kathryn: he would put his nose as close to her feet as he could get and then wave his hand in front of his nose, very funny!
