Things to play with and things to eat - the simple pleasures. I love how you really don't need to buy many toys to keep these little people entertained. Right now Ryan is banging away on a tin container and plastic bowl with my breakfast spoon. And the other day on empty cereal box was all the rage when daddy turned it into a hat!!

Ryan is doing incredibly well at feeding himself we are amazed at how coordinated he is with a spoon (maybe this isn't so amazing and all kids his age can do this but until we have proof of that he's the most advanced child around in our eyes! We don't have to feed him at all anymore - breakfast (usually mushy wheetabix), fruit cups, yoghurt and soup all go down very well with a spoon - and generally with little spillage. Most everything else (unless mashed) is fair game finger food - and this includes the fan favourite spagetti! Spagetti, of course gets EVERYWHERE so we have taken to eating it with only a diaper on and it's straight to the tub afterwards! This photo below was taken shortly after a particularly yummy pasta meal.

Does he ever look like Chris in this picture. And I don't mean bc he has food all over his face either!
I bet having Ryan consistently eating on his own really saves time for you in the day eh? Bronwyn WON'T eat off a spoon- no matter who is holding it, so she eats everything with her fingers- cottage cheese included!
