More Orkney

I do apologize to all you check the blog daily that there haven't been any updates recently. I feel busier than I actually am. Between going through stuff to bring home and not to bring home, trying to get to certain points in my scrapbooking, selling stuff on e-bay and just living I've let the blog slide. It's not going to get a whole lot better over the next few weeks but I will try not to leave so long between posts. Meanwhile, here are some photos for your viewing pleasure. In the interest of time the commentary will be short. Theses are all from our Orkney Adventure.

Here's Aunt Karin and I at the Brough of Birsay - an old settlement - you can see it in the background. You can also see the causeway we walked across to get to this small piece of land. We walked up to the top where's there a lighthouse and then walked around the cliffs. Stunning views. Apparently this is a great to see puffins but alas we didn't see any, unless you count seagull with lipstick?

On the same walk.

I love this photo! This was taken when we got back to the car, Ryan was dead asleep!! This is after he came off Chris' back and then we managed to transfer him to his car sleep where he selpt while we had a picnic lunch!

Yup, that's Ryan with a knife and fork - very cordinated he is!!

Another walk along the cliffs. It was much windeier this day so we have the shield around Ryan, it works really well!!

I love the knife and fork picture. Is he actually cutting his food or just pretending to be like Mom and Dad??

No real cutting going on there but still he looked quite coordinated for a 1 year old!!
